  1. Why is it so important to make sure all our defensive armor is in place before we use the sword?
    1. Satan has weapons too. If we neglect the defensive armor, we will be easy prey for him to discourage.
  2. Why do some people choose not to try to use the sword?
    1. They are afraid of appearing to be silly
    2. They think there may not be any demons who will hear them
  3. Why is it foolish to not ever use the sword?
    1. The enemy will wait around patiently for a crack in our defensive armor, instead of having to leave.
  4. When would be a good time to use the sword?
    1. Whenever we suspect that there might be some satanic/demonic activity going on.
  5. What if we are wrong and no demons are involved?
    1. There is always a good possibility that demons are involved and we just don’t realize it
    2. In any case, rehearsing these scriptures in God’s presence is good for our spiritual growth
    3. There is a worse outcome if demons ARE working and we refuse to do battle than if we do battle and they are NOT working
  6. When and how did Jesus set an example for us?
    1. Just after His baptism he was tempted by Satan in the wilderness. Jesus spoke directly to Satan and quoted the Scriptures. (Matthew 4)
  7. What did Adrian Rogers say to people who might accuse him of “praying to Satan” when Adrian spoke directly to Satan?
    1. “Are you praying to a cat when you say, ‘Scat?’”
  8. When I read an Old Testament passage that refers to enemies, how might I apply that today?
    1. Think of demonic enemies, not humans.
  9. 17 passages of Scripture were offered on the video as possible effective uses of our Sword against Satan. Can you remember the gist of any of them?
