Isaiah 61:1-3 Beauty for Ashes

When Jesus, early in His ministry, read this passage in the synagogue at Nazareth, He concluded by saying, in essence, “I am the fulfillment of this prophecy.” Through Jesus, all our mourning, grief, pain, heaviness, and ashes will be exchanged for joy, praise, and beauty!

These brief devotional thoughts were shared with the residents at McMinn Memorial Nursing Home on June 6, 2013. I pray it will be an encouragement to you!
