Many Christians underestimate the power of God in us. Others make the terrible mistake of trying to use God’s power for our selfish purposes. But when our heart’s desire is to bring Him glory, He gives amazing power to make sure that happens. And we get to experience overflowing joy in the process! This list is here to supplement the post entitled Spiritual Warfare Part 4.
“You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you.” (Acts 1:8)
“Now to Him Who is able to do exceedingly abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us.” (Ephesians 3:20)
“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you may know… what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.” (Ephesians 1:18-19)
“Truly, truly I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do, because I go to the Father.” (John 14:12)
“For the kingdom of God does not consist in words, but in power.” (1 Corinthians 4:20)
“’My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.’ Most gladly, therefore I will rather boast about my weakness, that the power of Christ may dwell in me.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
“May you be strengthened with all power according to His glorious might.” (Colossians 1:11)
“For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.” (2 Timothy 1:7)
“He gives strength to the weary; and to him who lacks might He increases power.” (Isaiah 40:29)
“In the last days difficult times will come. For men will be… holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power.” (2 Timothy 3:1,2,5)
Stay in the battle!
