God tells us, through the Apostle Peter:

“8 ¶ Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.” (1 Peter 5:8-9 ESV)

This study is a warning to all of us of the temptation to spend large amounts of time putting on the defensive armor (the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation) without spending  enough time actually taking up the Sword and using it to attack our enemy, Satan. It is an appeal for all of us to be much more aggressive in our spiritual warfare.
