Finding the Joy–McMinn Memorial Nursing Home Devotional

(We have learned to dearly love and appreciate our friends at McMinn Memorial Nursing Home. Their prayers and encouragement mean a lot to Vickie and me. All our visits have been wonderful. But today seemed especially sweet to us.)

There are three very short but very wonderful sentences in the Bible that seem to elude many people. Here they are:

“The joy of the Lord is my strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10)

“A merry heart does good, like a medicine.” (Proverbs 17:22)

“Rejoice in the Lord always.” (Philippians 4:4)

But how to we find that joy in the midst of all the bad stuff that’s happening all around us–even in our own bodies? Listen in for the answer!
