1 Peter 3:13-17 Part 1 Be Prepared to Suffer

In these verses, Peter, inspired by the Holy Spirit commands us to be ready to give an answer to those who ask us for reasons for our hope. But we are also warned that we must be prepared to suffer. To do that well, we must make sure that Jesus is set apart in our hearts as Lord of our lives. We must remember that, ultimately, we cannot be harmed. We must remember that suffering for Christ is a blessed thing. And we must remember that God uses our suffering to increase our sense of total dependence on Him in order to prepare us for eternity!
