Check out Fairview Baptist Tabernacle Church!

Vickie and I joined Fairview Baptist Tabernacle church in Sweetwater, TN, on March 14, 2021. Our pastor is Brother Hollie Miller. Bro. Hollie was also our pastor for many years at our previous church, Sevier Heights Baptist Church in Knoxville. He is an incredibly gifted pastor and preacher. God has given him a brilliant mind and an ability to communicate God’s Word very effectively and powerfully. It’s also a nice plus that Hollie has a wonderful sense of humor, which is really valuable in these days. He is determined to stand firm on God’s Truth at a time when our enemy, the devil, is doing everything he can to get Christians to “soft-pedal” the truth of God’s Word (in a foolish attempt to be inoffensive in the highly secularized culture in which we find ourselves living today).

If you know Vickie and me at all, you will be aware of how very important genuine worship (as opposed to good Christian entertainment) is to us. We have been thrilled at the way our worship pastor, Phillip Johnson, loves our Lord Jesus and is incredibly gifted at leading us into genuine worship.

We currently have two Sunday Schools and two worship services at FBT. Vickie and I attend the early worship service at 9:00 am on Sunday mornings and Sunday school at 10:15. We attend the class that Dan Lemons and Rick Bettis co-teach. We would love for you to join us and check it out! Here’s a link to the church web site. You can find a map there as well as the times for all the meetings.

If you would like to check it out, feel free to text me or give me a call if you would like for Vickie and me to meet you when you come to visit the church to help you find your way around. (423-261-5562)
